Wendy Staats-Reyes wrote to me: “My Grandfather's family is Dutch/German.  His family  started their American Journey in Oregon and Idaho. My Grandparents grew up in the San Fransico Bay Area- Grandma hales from San Fransico and Grandpa hales from Berkely. They met at the University of California in Berkely. That is also were my father received his degree. My Grandfather was appointed California Superior Court Judge by Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren. Aparently there is family history there. My Great Grandfather Redmond Staats Sr. and Earl Warren went to law school together. My grandfather was the Judge in the "Black Panther" Trials in the 1960s. My Grandmother's family worked for the Original Bank of America.
