Mary C. Marie Dorgan never married. She died at the age of 23 at 203 Woodbine Street, Cranston, Rhode Island. Here is her obituary printed in the Providence Journal, February 14, 1940:
Marie C. DORGAN
Miss Marie C. Dorgan, 23, daughter of Michael J. and Catherine J. King Dorgan, died yesterday at her home, 203 Woodbine street, Cranston, after a short illness. She was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Providence and had attended Cranston high school.
Miss Dorgan was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality of St Matthewís Church. She is survived by her parents, a sister, Miss Genevieve L. Dorgan, and two brothers, Christopher J. and Thomas A. Dorgan of Cranston. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:15 at her home. A solemn requiem mass will be sung in St Matthewís Church, Elmwood Avenue, at 9 oíclock. Burial will be in St Annís Cemetery, Cranston.
