Bill Dorgan wow. My grandfather was David, b 1884, a schoolteacher, father Timothy, son of Patrick, mother Hanna O'Gorman, they had a shop in Rock St. David married Julia O'Brien from Shanagarry in 1917 who sadly died later in the year. He moved to south county Dublin and married again to Bridget Hurley from Cork city. Their children were Johanna and Michael (my father).
I followed up with this email:

Helen Warinton Amazing! Thanks so much for replying. I had no idea David Dorgan moved to Dublin, but I did know he was a National Teacher. And I had no idea he remarried to Bridget Hurley, your grandparents. I am excited that I now have another family contact: you! I have a few questions: 1) Do you have any information whatsoever about PATRICK DORGAN and his wife, ANN (aka JOHANNA, NANCY) FLYNN from Ballyandreen, Ballycotton? They are my GG Grandparents. Liam Dorgan told me they were buried at Balymacoda Hill Cemetery. I have Patrick living at Carrigkilter, Ballybraher, Ballycotton at the time of his death before 1882. I have never been able to get a death date for him and Johanna. My friend Jo Cashman (RIP) took me to his farm at Carrigkilter in 2005. When he died (before 1882) I was told he sold it to a man called O'Connell or O'Conner. I always thought this was strange that he did not just leave his farm to one of his six children: Mary, Elizabeth, Timothy, Michael, David, Patrick (my GGrandfather who went to the USA in 1897). Any ideas why that happened? 2) I know nothing about Timothy Dorgan and Johanna O'Gorman except they were married at the RC chapel of Lismore, Waterford on 30 April 1882. Johanna O'Gorman, on their marriage record, said she was from Monatarriv East, Ballyin, Waterford. I do, however, have a copy of Timothy's will dated 7 November 1890. In his will, he gives everything to Johanna Garde Dorgan, wife of his brother, Michael Dorgan. Why didn't he leave his property to his son David, the National Teacher? Well, that's enough questions.
If you prefer to respond by email: billdorgan@@billdorgan.com. In any event, thank you so much for contacting me. I really appreciate your efforts! Hope to hear from you soon.

Bill Dorgan I must go look up some of my papers later.
David became headmaster of Harold School for boys and he died in 1967. There seems to be a theme running about wills. Timothy died when David was 13, Johanna died when he was 7, so I suppose that explains not being left anything. My mother, who is 89 spoke with Liam on the phone in January. They occasionally correspond.
